Bedford Family Lawyer Workshop: Essential (Legal) Documents for Young Adults

June 8, 2020 by Emily Prince Leave a Comment

Calling all high school graduates! Whether you’re heading off to college or not, turning 18 is an exciting milestone. Newfound independence comes with a change in your legal status and greater privacy protection. There are several documents every young adult should have in place to ensure that there are no barriers to making important medical, financial and educational decisions.

Join Bedford attorney, Rebecca Green Neale, for an informative webinar on June 15, 2020 at 7:00 pm. The webinar will provide an overview of the Health Care Proxy and Power of Attorney, two documents all young adults should have in place to ensure that someone can make medical or financial decisions on their behalf in the event they are incapable of doing so. The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) form, which ensures parental access to their child’s education records will also be discussed.
